So I haven't been around these parts for a while, you're like no duh, & it feels good to be back to share a little slice of what life is like for us these days. Emrie was born a month ago yesterday & it has been the most incredible, heart-swelling, sleepless month we've ever had. Craig works from home now, which is the best thing ever, so the past 30 days have been all about our little family, two semi-adults (I'm still like wait, are you sure we're old enough to have a baby? Shouldn't we at least have to get a license for this or something?), a newborn & a pup. We spend our days cuddling, baby-wearing, going on walks, changing diapers, changing onesies, working (him, not me ... soon, though), nursing (me, not him, although that would be convenient, weird but convenient), knitting, & mostly just being. It's been a great month, the best we've ever had. Oh, and we laugh a lot too.

How wonderful it was/is spending time with you, Emrie is super great, she has two of the best parents. I think Emrie knows she's got awesome parents! How wonderful to see the both of you care so tenderly for your daughter. I'm a very proud grandma and mother. Love you, Mom/Grandma/Heidi. One more thing...I am excited to hear about Grammie and Emrie. I received a card in the mail from Grammie, she wrote: "isn't our Emrie so beautiful, I am so excited to see her". Please remember well, when Grammie and Emrie meet, I want you to tell me the great joy I know Grammie will have.
